  2. Is Carol Martin for real. I think 'there are other places (she) can go'. She and Barry Haas are a fine pair for inapropriate statements. Hopefully the Kimberley will survive even tho we have these idiots representing us.

  3. We can’t believe that the Member for the Kimberley Carol Martin would make such a statement. It was the former Labour Government that established the Northern Development Taskforce (NDT) to evaluate sites for a LNG gas hub in the Kimberley. A process was put in place to evaluate sites, call for public comment, consider strategic assessment/input from both Federal and State Governments’ departments of environment and then undertake social impact/benefit studies. The Premier Colin Barnett has told us his preference and now Carol Martin is doing the same without any consideration of the process established by her government. It is foolish and uninformed, and extremely disappointing for her constituents. It is no wonder that large numbers of voters in the Kimberley did not vote, it was a significant protest at the last State election. 10,324 people of the eligible 16,658 voters went to the polls and Carol Martin managed just over 4000 primary votes. It is about time Ms Martin went out into the streets and into the bush to listen to the people.
